Committee List

Committees meet on a regular basis. Between meetings they communicate using a listserv for each committee. There is also a listserv for community-wide communication which all residents are welcome to join.

Wasatch Commons Condominium Association officials. Five elected from among home owners, plus one elected from among renters.

Declaration Working Group (ad hoc)

Revise the community's primary legal document, the Declaration of Convenants, Conditions, & Restrictions.

In coordination with Management, maintains & repairs community facilities & grounds.

Implements improvements to improve the safety & security of our residents & property.

Maintains and recommends replacement of Common House furnishings and cleaning supplies.

Underutilized Spaces

Rooms, nooks, and other areas in our community tend to collect junk, making the space dysfunctional and unusable. Underutilized Spaces reverses this by taking such a space, and either returning it to its former glory, or creating a new, functional use for the community to enjoy.

Parents

Maintain community facilities for the use of children, including outdoor play structures and contents of the common house children's room. Consider the role of children in the community.

North Garden

While the weather is good, we have work parties every Saturday mornings from 9-11am in the North Field. We use the Sociocratic method to make group decisions and get things done. We value your participation and hope to see you on Saturdays.

East Garden

Residents who have a bed in the east garden.

Jam Club

Jam Club identifies and preserves community fruits and vegetables for community use.

Community Life Committees

Process

Prepares agendas, decides meeting format, & trains facilitators for All-Community Meetings.

Communications

Prepare meeting minutes, outreach flyers & brochures; maintain community calendar, community FaceBook page, website, community archive & history. Mostly works as individuals or subgroups on particular projects.

Welcoming

Promotes our community to the public & orients new residents.

Celebrations

Celebration builds a stronger community with events that help us bond as friends as well as neighbors.

Dining Group

Coordinates common meals.

(when needed) Mediate between residents.
Coordination Committee
Keep track of Storage Bin (issues that need to be discussed); add new issues as they come up. Get issues onto the ACM agenda for resolution.
